The 2025 Class 4A State Champions Mills Comets (Boys) and DeâŻQueen Lady Leopards (Girls) share the spotlight in Issue #3 of FAB44TV Insiderâs Championship Edition.
One school added to its legendary status.
The other broke a 22âyear drought.
Both earned the crown.
Mills Comets: The Rebirth
Coach RaymondâŻCooper returned to the top as the Comets rallied past Morriltonâs Devil Dogs in a dramatic ClassâŻ4A boys state title game. Mills trailed for most of the contest before seizing control in the final period and winning 56â51.
Tournament MVP ZaylinâŻRowland scored 10 points and provided steady leadership, while underclassmen MarshallâŻWalls (19 points) and AnthonyâŻHester (13 points) delivered clutch performances. With the victory, Mills closed out a historic 35â1 season.

DeâŻQueen Lady Leopards: Ending the Drought
For the first time since 2003, the Lady Leopards are back on top of Arkansas high school basketball. DeâŻQueen stunned previously unbeaten Pulaski Academy 62â54 in the ClassâŻ4A girls final. Senior guard ShalynâŻLyle earned tournament MVP honors with 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Under Coach BretâŻBurgess, the Leopards mixed veterans and rising stars: EmmaâŻChambers led the team with 13 points, JessieâŻLyle added 12, LandriâŻLiggin scored 11, and DeâŻQueenâs swarming defense forced 20 turnovers. The Lady Leopards finished 35â1, giving Pulaski Academy (36â1) its only loss and snapping a 22âyear championship drought.
