The mission was clear. The execution was elite. The dynasty? Still rolling.

The Farmington Lady Cardinals claimed their third straight state title and first at the 5A level with a commanding 54–44 victory over Greene County Tech in the 2025 championship game. Fueled by veterans and a freshman phenom, the Cardinals left no doubt who runs Arkansas girls basketball.

Championship Performance

Freshman Easton McCollough was unstoppable on the biggest stage.

She dropped 24 points, shooting 8-of-15 from the field and 4-of-9 from deep, while adding 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

“I just locked in and played for my teammates,” said McCollough.

Alongside her, senior Marin Adams added 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Senior Zoey Bershers, known for her defensive grit, delivered toughness and presence in every possession.

Easton McCollough Freshman Finals MVP

On a court full of upperclassmen, the brightest light was a freshman. Easton McCollough didn’t play like a 9th grader. She scored, passed, defended, and took over when it counted.

“Easton plays with confidence and maturity,” said Coach Johnson.

“She’s a special player, and this is just the beginning.”

Senior Leaders:

Marin Adams & Zoey Bershers

This championship doesn’t happen without the steady hands and hearts of Marin Adams and Zoey Bershers.

• Adams: Elite playmaker, vocal leader, floor general

• Bershers: Defensive anchor, high-motor rebounder, enforcer

The X-Factor:

Kaycee McCumber: The Backbone of a Champion

In the Farmington Lady Cardinals’ historic climb to a 5A state title, it wasn’t just the highlight reels or flashy box scores that sealed the legacy  it was players like Kaycee McCumber, whose presence made winning possible.

The 6'1" senior forward set the tone early in the championship game, calmly sinking the first point of the night off a technical free throw. While freshman phenom Easton McCollough led with 24 points, it was McCumber’s interior control that kept Greene County Tech at bay. She grabbed rebound after rebound, knocked down clutch free throws in key moments, and anchored the Lady Cardinals’ defense with quiet confidence.

All season long, McCumber averaged 12 points and 8.3 rebounds consistent, reliable, and foundational. In the title game, she became the heartbeat of Farmington’s poise under pressure.

Playing alongside college bound stars like Zoey Bershers and Marin Adams, McCumber embraced her role as the glue player. Her ability to control tempo, win the glass, and lead without fanfare made all the difference.

Farmington’s third straight title and first ever in 5A was a team accomplishment, but it was Kaycee McCumber’s senior steadiness that held the foundation firm.
